Festival of Lights Berlin – 2019

In 2019, the 15th Festival of Lights in Berlin happend, where the city transformed into a vibrant canvas of colors under the guiding theme of FREEDOM. Commemorating 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the festival enchanted the capital for 10 nights, painting the nights of Berlin with the indispensable element of our lives – light.

For 15 years, Festival of Lights has adorned Berlin, returning each year with even more radiant and artistic light art. Iconic landmarks like Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, and Neuer Marstall became captivating canvases during this special edition. The 10-day event was filled with engaging open-air exhibitions and concerts that entertained people across Berlin.

Marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the festival immersed the city in emotions, narrating the story and struggle of freedom during those challenging times. The event commenced on October 11th and concluded on October 20th, creating an unforgettable spectacle.

Accompanied by a theme song, “Turn the lights on,” performed by the renowned German-Tunisian pop singer Ayman, Festival of Lights left a lasting impression. In 2018, it attracted 3 million attendees, and this year’s extravagant projections promised to captivate even more, lighting up the city from 7 PM until midnight.
